Our 2026-2027 Toddler Program welcomes children born in 2024
Mercaz Academy’s Toddler Program offers a loving, nurturing, and engaging play-based environment where young children begin their educational journey with confidence and joy. Our program nurtures cognitive growth, social-emotional development, physical well-being, and a joyful introduction to Jewish life, laying a strong foundation for a lifelong love of learning.
Social & Emotional Skills
Through guided, collaborative play and positive interactions, children develop essential social-emotional skills such as empathy, cooperation, self-regulation, conflict resolution, and confidence. Our warm classroom environments help children feel safe, supported, and valued.
Language Development
Language — both English and Hebrew — is woven meaningfully throughout the day in our Toddlers program. Storytelling, music, conversation, and play help expand vocabulary and communication skills while fostering expressive and receptive language growth.
Active Bodies, Healthy Habits
Children build gross and fine motor skills through sensory play, movement, music, outdoor play, and creative art experiences, developing coordination, balance and dexterity. We emphasize healthy routines, including nutrition, hygiene, and self-care, supporting independence and well-being.
Building Jewish Identity
Our toddlers are introduced to Jewish life in joyful, age-appropriate ways. Through songs, stories, crafts, and celebrations, children learn about Jewish holidays, Shabbat, and core Jewish values. Daily tefilah (prayer), introduction to the weekly parsha (Torah portion) and early familiarity with the Aleph Bet nurture a strong and meaningful connection to Jewish tradition.
Nurturing Individuals
Our program caters to the unique needs and development of each young learner, and our small class size and low student-teacher ratio ensures that each toddler receives the special attention and care they deserve from our experienced, highly trained early childhood educators.

Extra-Care Hours
Early-School Care: 8am-9am
(Monday - Friday)
Enrichment: 2pm - 4pm
(Monday - Thursday)
After-School Care: 4pm - 5pm
(Monday - Thursday)
Pre-Shabbat Care: 2pm - 3pm/
2:45pm in winter months
